About DaContra

A construction firm run like an engineering practice.

Founded in 2002, DaContra was started by three engineers who got tired of running budget overruns. Today we operate three regional offices, employ 190 staff, and deliver around 40 commercial projects a year — without ever subcontracting our project management.

We specialize in technically demanding scopes: hospital fit-outs, semiconductor facilities, MEP-heavy data centres and corporate HQs. Most of our work comes from owners we've already built for.

How we run a project

From signed contract to handover.

01

Discovery

Site visit, scope review, and stakeholder workshop. We surface the constraints early — site, schedule, budget and risk.

Plan

Detailed schedule, cost plan, procurement strategy and quality plan, signed off before the first wall comes down.

03

Build

Self-perform crew on site, weekly cost reports, transparent change-order log. Project manager picks up the phone.

04

Handover

Clean punch list, full O&M binder, plus an optional 12-month FM contract so things stay running.
